Although it is one of the smaller lakes in the area it is quite productive. However, it has recently become a changing fishery. Walleye and Smallmouth used to
be kings, but with the introduction of the Blueback Herring, an invasive, the Largemouth
Bass gets the nod now. When lake levels are kept up the lake becomes a more bank oriented cover fishery, as opposed to the search for schools in the often lowered levels during winter months. The lake does still have some good Trout and Crappie action, with great Bream
fishing in the warmer months
